ABOUT
THE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete at a job site located near Assiniboia, SK . In this role as a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a Friendly attitude to ensure customers receive a high-level delivery and Product from Amrize within the jobsite assigned. This job will be starting towards the end of June and will carry on until October .
Amrize will provide lodging plus a $50/day LOA.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, having a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.
Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography. Own the satisfaction of these customers at all times.
Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery. Maintain a delivery service that is a positive, hassle-free experience for Amrize's customers.
Maintain strong working relationships with Logistics, and Operations teams as well as fellow operators.
Amrize Ready Mix Training Program provided.
Able to perform operation on electronic devices (Tablets, GPS, etc...)
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required
Work Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of related experience. Preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience. Understanding of the building materials industry, including product knowledge, an asset.
Required Training/
Certifications:
Needs to have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q - Drivers abstract REQUIRED
Additional Requirements:
Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well as be available weekends.
Be able to lift 50lbs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform tasks on Electronic devices such as Tablets
Relationship-building (External customers and internal Amrize personnel)
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Problem solving and decision making
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of teamwork
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
