Support wastewater safety as a Source Control Inspector with the City of Regina. This hands-on full-time role requires strong relationship-building skills and experience in environmental oversight.
In this position, you will support the Source Control Program by inspecting wastewater treatment devices and monitoring compliance with local bylaws. Your efforts will contribute to environmental sustainability while also educating businesses on effective operational practices. You will balance field assessments with technology to document processes accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and monitor wastewater treatment devices
• Ensure compliance with municipal guidelines
• Investigate and resolve environmental issues
• Promote best practices among local businesses
• Document inspection findings and operational assessments
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or GED
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in drainage and sewer operations
• Level 2 Water/Wastewater Operator Certification or a willingness to achieve
• Strong skills in communication and customer relations
• Valid Class 5 Licence and commitment to further certifications
