Maintenance Assistant for Senior Living

Become a Maintenance Assistant at Cogir Senior Living, delivering essential support to enhance residents' quality of life. This part-time role centers on maintenance and repair tasks in a community setting.

In this position, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and engage in routine repairs and upkeep of building systems.

Your role will include painting, minor carpentry, and inspections to ensure safety and compliance within the residence. By executing maintenance tasks and providing customer service, you directly contribute to the satisfaction of retirees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct minor repairs to mechanical and electrical systems

• Inspect facilities regularly for maintenance needs

• Execute painting and carpentry assignments as necessary

• Support housekeeping duties alongside maintenance tasks

• Follow all safety rules and facility procedures

Requirements:

• Proficient in following written and oral instructions in English

• Capable of physical tasks, including heavy lifting

• Familiar with plumbing and electrical systems

• Able to manage a maintenance budget and track expenses

• Must acquire a current Vulnerable Sector Check
