Take on the role of a Swimming Pool Technician at the City of Regina, ensuring optimal operation and safety at our aquatics facilities. Your technical skills in water management will directly impact community health.
This permanent position under the Facilities & Fleet division involves overseeing the mechanical operations of multiple swimming pools. You will support preventative maintenance, manage chemical standards, and mentor less experienced staff. Engagement with a variety of departments enhances the operational efficiency of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee chemical applications and water testing.
• Mentor Facility Operator I staff on best practices.
• Coordinate necessary equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Keep thorough records of pool operations.
• Liaise with health and engineering departments on standards.
Requirements:
• High school diploma plus Swimming Pool Operation training.
• Minimum two years related work experience.
• Valid First Aid and Level II Pool Operator certifications.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to lead and support other pool operators.
Utilize your skills in pool maintenance and community service with the City of Regina.
