Position OvervieweHealth Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of clinically focused information technology projects, including the eReferral and Central Intake System implementation
.
This is a highly visible and challenging project management role requiring an experienced leader capable of managing complex IT initiatives, multiple stakeholders, cross-functional teams, changing priorities, and high-quality deliverables while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Citizen and Referral Services and provide project leadership, decision-making support, delivery oversight, stakeholder management, change management, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, manage, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects throughout the complete project lifecycle.
- Lead and support proactive, cross-functional project teams consisting of management and non-management resources.
- Establish an environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, initiative, open communication, and accountability.
- Provide project planning, project management, implementation, change management, transition, and communications support.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to project teams, Steering Committees, sponsors, and senior stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and establish clear expectations aligned with the project plan.
- Provide delivery oversight for requirements gathering, detailed design, and future-state development
. - Lead, direct, and manage project resources to ensure effective utilization and delivery.
- Prioritize assignments and coordinate project activities across multiple work streams.
- Support organizational change associated with project implementation.
- Manage project issues, escalations, decisions, and action tracking.
- Provide decision-making support and maintain appropriate project documentation.
- Coordinate procurement activities and financial tracking for the project.
- Ensure project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions are appropriately identified, tracked, escalated, and resolved.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance against schedule, scope, budget, resources, and expected outcomes.
- Provide governance reporting and status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Support transition to operations and project closure activities.
- Mentor and develop project staff while maximizing team performance.
- Perform other project management duties and responsibilities as required by eHealth Saskatchewan.
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements
:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects at a provincial level or equivalent in scope.
- Candidate must be located in Canada and legally permitted to work in Canada
. - Candidate must be available to work full-time during the required Saskatchewan business hours.
- Candidate should be prepared for occasional travel to Saskatchewan

The following experience and qualifications will strengthen a candidate's profile:
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or equivalent
. - 5+ years of project management experience in a busy, multifaceted environment.
