Food Safety Coordinator / Logistics Support - Regina, SK
AGT Foods is seeking a Food Safety Coordinator / Logistics Support to join our Regina City (Leonard St.) production facility in Regina, SK.
This position is responsible for the control of the Food Safety Documents as well as Logistics and Inventory Documentation for shipping of product out of warehouse.
Duties
- Maintain, update, and implement the facility’s Food Safety Plan (HACCP, PRPs, OPRPs)
- Ensure the FSMS meets regulatory requirements (e.g., CFIA, FDA, EU) and certification standards (FSSC 22000)
- Coordinate external and internal audits and continuous improvement activities for the FSMS
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits and inspections
- Lead HACCP team meetings and facilitate hazard analysis
- Lead the investigation of food safety incidents, customer complaints, or audit nonconformities
- Perform facility inspections for Food Safety compliance
- Develop and deliver food safety training for employees
- Controlling equipment and bills of ladingfor loading product out of warehouse
- Organizing shipping instructions
- Entering grain receipts of incoming product
- Processing daily shipment records and filing of shipment records
- Data entry: fax and enter contracts
- Performing any other related duties as required
Employment Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, Quality Assurance, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or processing (QA/QC, food safety, or production supervision).
- Ability to multi-task with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, CAPA)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Punctual, meticulous and reliable
- Certifications in HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems, or Quality Assurance is a plus
- Experience in regulatory compliance (CFIA, FDA, EU standards) preferred
