Responsibilities Read electricaldiagrams, blueprints and other technical drawings to completeassemblies and installation.
Position and install components, sub-assemblies and accessories such as engines, transmissions, door panels or control panels using hand and power tools and tools other supports such as overhead winches.
Adjust and adjust components such as doors, hoods, and trunklids.
Check motor vehicle exterior primers and coats of paint, sealants and enamels, and evaluate Mark, record and reportdefects that need repair.
Defects to ensure faults arerectified ted Drive and test motor vehicles on a rollertester to make sure the transmission, axle, motor and brake are ingood working order.
Requirements A high school diploma is usually required.
The skills required foroccupations in this unit group are usually acquired throughon-the-job training.
Migration is possible forjobs within the same production department.
Experience leadsto supervisory positions.
