Utilize your logging skills as an operator of specialized machinery in the timber industry. Operate in mountainous regions of Canada to transport and process timber effectively.
In this position, you will work with various logging machinery, including tree processors and forwarders.
Your role is essential for executing operations like slashing, bucking, and assessment of logging sites. A commitment to safety and efficiency is crucial in maintaining a productive workflow in rugged terrains.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate machinery for transporting trees to loading sites
• Assess terrain and site conditions for logging operations
• Perform tasks including felling, slashing, and loading
• Utilize processing equipment for efficient timber management
• Ensure compliance with all tree harvesting regulations
Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school may be required
• 2–3 years logging experience in specific roles preferred
• Heavy equipment operator certification may be necessary
• Must understand tree harvesting regulations
• WHMIS training and first aid certification may be required
