Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts andtables
Inspect machinedparts and tooling in order to maintain quality control standards
Inspects, tests, and adjusts new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures, for conformance to specifications, for example,dimensions, tolerances, and hardness
Work for machinery,equipment, motor vehicle, automotive parts, aircraft, and othermetal products manufacturing companies and for machineshops
Verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, verniers,callipers, height gauges, optical comparators, co-ordinatemeasuring machines (CMM) or other specialized measuring instruments
Applying knowledge oftool and die design, shop mathematics, and machining and testing procedures, using precision measuring instruments, testing equipment, and handtools
Report deviationsfrom specifications and tolerances to supervisor and complete and maintain inspection reports
Examines defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends changes or modifications
Work in woodmanufacturing and food processing plants, as well as inrefineries
They fit and assemblemachined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Writes reportregarding inspection and testing results
Requirements
3 – 5 years provenworking experience in related field
Must have a strong attention to detail
Able to communicatecomplicated technical ideas with precision and clarity
Need to have goodphysical mobility
Able to lift heavy objects and handle production pressures calmly
Able to work in aTeam
