Job Description:

• Plan, allocate and optimise labour, equipment and other production resources.
• Oversee daily production, packaging and dispatch operations.
• Manage staffing across shifts and monitor labour efficiency, absenteeism and turnover.
• Develop and improve employee skills through coaching, mentoring and training.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Monitor production efficiency, capacity, inventory accuracy and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Implement asset care and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
• Monitor production costs, overtime, variances and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, health and safety standards and relevant legislation.
• Maintain required BRC, GFCO, Halal and Kosher certifications.
• Apply root cause analysis and statistical methods to resolve production issues.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Degree in Production Management, Engineering (BTech) or Food Technology.
• Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing Systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of relevant employment, occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations.
• Understanding of asset care, workflow management and operational excellence.
• Strong leadership, team management and problem‑solving abilities.
