As the Melt Shop Manager, you'll lead teams of unionized employees while ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. Your responsibilities will include directing production activities, coordinating with maintenance teams, and providing necessary training to ensure employees meet job expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct production activities and employee management
• Supervise safety processes and investigations
• Implement policies related to quality and operations
• Conduct performance planning and training sessions
• Manage workforce scheduling and reports
Requirements:
• Minimum high school diploma; metallurgy preferred
• Experience in steelmaking or industrial manufacturing
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• Strong focus on safety and leadership capabilities
