Employer Name: SCHNEIDER'S MILLWORK & CONTRACTORS INC.
We are looking to hire Cabinet/Millwork Installers with at least 5 years of experience installing and manufacturing custom cabinets and millwork. This position is full-time (Up to 40 hours per week).
You must possess a working knowledge of applying millwork practices, working safely, reading shop drawings, using tools and equipment, and handling heavy materials.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstalling millwork on job sites (Cabinet / finish millwork installation) lower and upper cabinets, countertops, cabinet doors, vanities, wall paneling, shelving units, wood trims etc.
- Help loading and unloading millwork, tools, and supplies
- Install millwork, cabinetry, and hardware according to drawings
- Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications to double check accuracy
- Take site measurements and relay back to shop
- Communicate with Site Supervisors and clarify/point out any issues on site
- Clean and touch up mill work.
- Assemble Cabinets (when not on job site)
- Build cabinetry while working from plans / drawings / instructions (fitting, joinery, assembling, and constructing custom cabinetry / mill work / countertops / furniture)
- Use power tools and hand tools in the manufacturing process. Ex/ Router, drills, nail guns, clamps, jig saw, belt sander, round sander
- Use machinery in the manufacturing process. Ex/ Table saw, edge-bander, panel saw.
- Use wood and laminate adhesive
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Working from plans / drawings / instructions.
- Take instructions and delegation.
- Working with a team.
- Handling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Work safely under regular millwork shop and site conditions.
- Good physical condition.
- Strong communication/listening skills.
- Valid drivers license
- Able to work safely
- First Aid Certification an asset
- Canadian Permanent Residence Status
