Join the London Inter Community Health Centre as a Refugee Health Nurse Practitioner, focusing on comprehensive care for marginalized and newcomer populations. Explore full-time or part-time opportunities in a supportive work environment.
This position allows you to excel in primary health care while bridging gaps in services for newcomers facing health disparities.
You'll work with in an inclusive framework to address the unique needs of individuals affected by trauma, poverty, and complex health issues. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team is integral to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct primary care to refugees and newcomers
• Liaise with external care providers to coordinate plans
• Deliver health education and wellness initiatives
• Record patient interactions accurately using EMR systems
• Champion health equity in service delivery
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse in the Extended Class in good standing
• Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate
• 3-5 years experience in community health
• Understanding of trauma-informed practices
• Strong communication skills in English;
French an asset
