Job Description

Reporting to the designated supervisor and collaborating with physicians and health care team members, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care services to assigned populations, including urban residents, visiting rural communities, and priority groups such as newcomers, teens, and long‑term care residents. The role may expand to include nurse‑led extended‑hour clinic services and first‑on‑call support. Key responsibilities include health assessment, health promotion and education, disease and injury prevention and assessment, treatment interventions, collaboration with other healthcare providers, referral coordination, and participation in quality improvement, patient safety, community development, clinical practice redesign, and evaluation.

• Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MN‑NP)

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)

• Basic interpersonal skills
• Basic leadership skills

• Working knowledge in health promotion
• Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions or advice
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge in community development
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
• Ability to make decisions on patient care and coordination of equipment and staffing

• Provides visiting services to sites within the community or area
• Supports the Redvers, Carnduff, and Gainsborough communities
• Salary:
  Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52,590 – $62,910
• Shift: Days, Standby; 149.36 hours per 4 weeks
• No travel required
