Job Title: Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Schedule: Casual

Hourly Rate of Pay: $48.50 - $53.00

Carecor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) to join our healthcare team. Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing, the RPN is responsible for delivering high‑quality, client‑centered mental health and psychiatric care in accordance with professional practice standards, organizational policies, and the philosophy of care. RPNs play a key role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive care plans that support the mental, emotional, and physical well‑being of individuals.

Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, RPNs promote recovery, therapeutic relationships, and positive health outcomes across a variety of clinical and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and client‑centered mental health and psychiatric nursing care.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental, emotional, physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, families and the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring clients for therapeutic responses and adverse effects.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships that promote recovery, wellness and positive health outcomes.
  • Monitor, document and report changes in client condition, behaviour and response to treatment.
  • Participate in crisis intervention, risk assessment and de‑escalation of challenging behaviours when required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to professional standards, organisational policies and safety requirements.
Job Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) program.
  • Current and unrestricted registration in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Recent experience in mental health, psychiatric, addictions, community, acute care or residential care settings is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices, mental health assessments, crisis intervention and recovery‑oriented care.
