Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of food production facilities to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

Perform and document quality assurance activities, including testing, checks, and inspection results.

Perform wide range analyses on extruded products.

Perform EMP testing.

Work according to GLP practices.

Manage sample flow through the lab.

Maintain the laboratory and testing functions in the operations area.

Understand the technical specifications of incoming materials and produced products.

Complete final product inspections and incoming packaging materials inspections.

Learn aseptic technique and apply principles daily.

Maintain lab documentation and submit paperwork promptly.

Complete and verify retain sample collection requests with all documentation.

Uphold quality conscious and food safe culture.

Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Education & Training

Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology or another related field.

Food safety and/or quality experience or knowledge in a manufacturing environment.

Understanding of food safety systems, including ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, SOP, BRC and IFS.
