Responsibilities
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety policies and procedures.
Support 2nd & 3rd party audits and certification renewals (Organic, Kosher, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, GFSI).
Maintain accurate process flow diagrams for all product categories.
Coordinate FSMS verification activities, including Preop, Organic cleaning, CCP & OPRP validations, magnet pull tests, and EMP swabbing.
Ensure accurate FSMS records, investigate missing or incomplete data, and determine root causes.
Investigate and resolve nonconformities, ensuring proper disposition of materials.
Prepare for and attend Monthly Food Safety Committee meetings, track actions, and follow up.
Analyze and address audit findings and corrective actions.
Collect, analyze, and report food safety data, identifying trends and process improvements.
Support customer complaint investigations and ensure timely resolution.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of HACCP principles/food safety standards.
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Flexible schedule, with overtime as needed.
