CEDO​/EDO Trainee

BakosNDT, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation, provides non‑destructive testing services across Western Canada and is expanding its inspection team. We are seeking a CEDO Technician or EDO Trainee to support operations in Estevan, SK.

Responsibilities

Prepare and position radiographic exposure devices and sources, such as gamma or X‑ray equipment, to conduct inspections.

Calibrate equipment, secure the area, and ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect themselves and others from radiation exposure.

Perform radiographic examinations on materials, welds, or components to detect internal flaws such as cracks, voids, or other irregularities.

Implement and monitor strict safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to themselves and others.

Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) or Exposure Device Operator (EDO) credential.

Familiarity with NDE methods (Conventional and Advanced).

Current safety certifications such as Confined Space, H2S Alive, First Aid (asset).

Ability to make knowledgeable, integrity‑based decisions.

Strong communication skills with clients and maintenance personnel.

Ability to travel.

Valid driver’s licence.
