Liquor Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Coaching and developing team members.
• Schedule staff according to sales needs, ensuring SPEH targets are achieved.
• Provide positive and proactive interactions with all internal and external customers. Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Provide feedback regarding recommendations and plans for continued improvement of store operations.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable provincial regulations & legislation.
• Order, receive, inventory control and selling merchandise.
• Responsible for claims, invoices and all other paperwork in a timely, accurate fashion, meeting policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparation and management of annual operating plan and goals and be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH.
• Implement marketing and merchandising concepts, including planning LTO’s, WPP’s and Seasonal Promotions. Create action plans to address slow moving or deleted items.
• Assist with the adherence and enforcement of Pioneer Co-op policies and procedures and the Loss Prevention Program.
• Lead a culture of safety through adherence to Co-op standards for health and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous retail sales and inventory experience in liquor.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Strong commitment to exceptional Customer Service.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and strong motivational skills.
• Good delegation skills.
• Will require Serve It Right Saskatchewan Certification and strong knowledge of all legal requirements as set out by SLGA.
• Heavy lifting required and ability to operate power jack.
• Good computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s licence required.
• Shifts include days, evenings & weekends.
• This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position. Therefore, it is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance Policy as a condition of employment.
