We’re hiring to fill a current vacancy and join our team at Factory Optical – Regina East Landing – partners of Solis Optics, as an Optician.
We have recently had new management take over Factory Optical in Saskatchewan and, as part of this change, we are looking to expand our Optician team.
In this role, you’ll help customers find their perfect fit in a fun, supportive, dynamic, and rewarding environment. Make a meaningful impact on people’s lives—one frame at a time.
This is a full‑time position with 30–40 hours per week. Our location is open Monday to Sunday.
What You’ll Do
Deliver exceptional customer service and educate customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring style, comfort, and optimal vision.
Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments.
Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers, and other third parties.
Guide customers in selecting eyewear that combines fashion with function.
Support day‑to‑day store operations and contribute to overall store success.
Assist with additional tasks as needed to keep the store running smoothly.
What You Bring
Minimum one year of experience in an optical setting.
Registered Optician in Saskatchewan.
Proficiency with technology and computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively.
