Location: Swift Current
Become a part of the Mennonite Central Committee team as a Full-Time Thrift Shop Associate in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Play a vital role in receiving, sorting, and selling donations in a friendly environment.
As a Thrift Shop Associate, you will contribute to MCC Saskatchewan's mission to provide quality used goods while supporting community initiatives. This position involves not only processing donations but also engaging with customers and coordinating with volunteers. Your positive attitude and leadership will enhance the shop's atmosphere and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and sort donations efficiently for retail sales
• Assist customers on the sales floor and operate the POS
• Maintain a clean and attractive shop environment
• Provide support and training to volunteers
• Model positive communication reflecting MCC values
Requirements:
• 1-3 years retail experience, including POS operation
• Preferred experience in a warehouse setting
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be available for evenings and Saturdays
