Correctional Officer Centre

Become a Correctional Officer with the Government of Saskatchewan in Regina. Contribute to public safety by supporting offender rehabilitation and maintaining secure facilities in a full-time role.

The Ministry of Community Safety is looking for permanent, dedicated individuals to fill Correctional Officer positions at the Regina Correctional Centre. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills while working closely with adult offenders from diverse backgrounds. Successful candidates will complete a comprehensive 11-week Induction Training Program focused on public safety and offender reintegration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise offenders and maintain facility safety

• Support rehabilitation and reintegration plans

• Assess risk and respond appropriately to incidents

• Facilitate programming to promote positive change

• Apply legislation and interpret policies effectively

Requirements:

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence or equivalent

• First Aid and CPR/AED certification required

• Knowledge of Canadian criminal justice and human behaviour

• University degree in social sciences or relevant diploma

• Strong judgment and decision-making abilities
