Full-Time Correctional Officer Role

Join the Government of Saskatchewan as a full-time Correctional Officer in Regina. Support offender rehabilitation and maintain the safety and security of the correctional facility.

The Ministry of Community Safety invites applications for permanent Correctional Officer roles at Regina Correctional Centre. Ideal candidates possess strong critical thinking and teamwork skills while working with diverse adult offenders. An 11-week Induction Training Program will be provided to ensure competency in public safety and effective offender reintegration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee safety and security within the facility

• Assist with rehabilitation and reintegration programming

• Conduct risk assessments for offenders

• Enforce legislation and manage incidents

• Build professional relationships with offenders

Requirements:

• Hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence

• Certificates in First Aid and CPR/AED are necessary

• Understanding of the Canadian criminal justice system

• University or diploma in relevant fields preferred

• Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation
