About the Role We are looking for a Youth Care Worker / Personal Support Worker who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, youth, and adults with complex needs. In this role you will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment and support participants to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. You will provide both emotional and physical support while serving as a positive role model and engaging in all aspects of the group living and person-centered experience.

Qualifications Education and Professional Certification
High school diploma
Certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care, Disability Support, or related field is an asset
Experience
At least 1 year working with children, youth, or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges

Duties and Responsibilities Provide compassionate support to individuals with complex needs, fostering a safe and nurturing environment
Develop and implement engaging activity plans
Teach essential life skills such as self-care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and building positive social connections
Resolve conflicts using empathy and behavior management strategies
Collaborate with clinical professionals and program managers to share insights for treatment plans and goal setting
Prioritize, promote and reinforce safe work practices
Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas and experiences
Complete documentation and reports accurately to meet agency standards
Lead by example, representing agency values and demonstrating fairness, respect, and positivity
Perform other related duties as needed to support participants and the team
Complete all mandatory training requirements per agency policy
Hold a class five (5) novice two (2) or higher driver's licence and be eligible for coverage under commercial auto insurance
Work in a shift-work environment operating 365/24/7
Compensation Starting at $25.06 per hour, depending on experience.
