Community Social Worker

The Community Social Worker reports directly to the Director of Wellbeing and is responsible for providing professional social work services to individuals, adults, and families residing within Cowessess First Nation. The primary focus of this position is to support community members by assessing needs, connecting them with appropriate resources and services, and promoting overall health and well‑being.

The Community Social Worker applies a broad range of social work knowledge, evidence‑informed practices, and counseling approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. Services are delivered using a strengths‑based, trauma‑informed, and client‑centred approach that respects individual circumstances, promotes self‑determination, and supports positive outcomes.
