Family Wellness - Parent Support Worker

The Parent Support Worker will provide culturally grounded, trauma-informed support to families within the Kahkewistahaw First Nation community, focusing on strengthening parent-child relationships, promoting traditional parenting practices, and connecting families to resources. The role involves home visits, group workshops, and collaboration with community elders and social services to address challenges such as intergenerational trauma, child welfare prevention, and holistic family well-being.

This position bridges Western social services with Indigenous knowledge systems, empowering families to heal and thrive while preserving cultural identity.
