Web Developer

The Web Developer is a full-time position, working on the ongoing development of the Tymbrel Platform, as well as custom programming projects.

The Web Developer is responsible for the continued development, maintenance and on-going updates of the Tymbrel Platform as well as other custom programming projects.

As a skilled developer, you pay attention to detail, have a desire to learn, and work closely with others to find efficient and effective solutions. The successful candidate will assist the Company’s production and development teams on the execution of new web ‘Apps’, platform upgrades, security updates, etc. for the Tymbrel Platform.

Occasionally, assistance will be required to help the design and production teams with tasks related to client website projects including integrations and custom JS. Best practices and methods will be utilized to ensure the success of the projects.

Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this position.

• Experience in developing web-based applications using industry best-practices – SaaS experience a big plus
• 3+ years programming experience
• Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL
• GIT experience
• Experience with a modern frameworks
• Ability to execute applications based on wireframe designs
• Problem solving, debugging, and testing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment
• Participate in daily stand up and weekly production meetings, contributing to ongoing work updates, problem solving and mutual accountabilities
• Ability to ‘think outside the box’ to take ownership of coming up with come up with innovative ideas and solutions
• Experience with API integrations as well as integrations leveraging webhooks, and Zapier

• Experience in React and Vue frameworks
• Dev Ops experience in AWS, Apache, Nginx
• Experience with AWS, Apache and/or Nginx is a plus
• Experience with high traffic, multitier web applications / SaaS web applications

• Thoughtful prioritization when balancing client project deadlines with ongoing internal projects.
• Ability to produce back/front-end programming on SaaS Web Platform based on project timelines.
• Mindful of client / project objectives when determining the priority of development tasks.
• Ability to jump between design evaluation work, programming, and customer support with ease.
