Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join our team in Regina, SK.

The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for arranging, coordinating, and securing transportation of inbound and outbound loads. This role reports to the Traffic Team Lead and works with external suppliers as well as multiple internal departments, including Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to arrange transportation of goods across Canada and the USA. The Traffic Coordinator will analyze shipping requests, identify options, and select carriers based on a balance of cost and service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day traffic booking activities
  • Negotiate effectively with carriers to obtain best value.
  • Manage the load quoting, coordinating, and tracking of transportation and logistics function for parts, wholegoods and attachments
  • Produce purchase orders from requests/requisitions/ analysis of shipping schedules to ensure timely pickup and delivery activities. Coordinate with manufacturing to eliminate demurrage and delays.
  • Maintain and monitor carrier performance
  • Resolve Accounts Payable issues as applied to carrier invoices and provide invoice G/L coding when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of MS Office software, esp. Excel, Word, Power Point
Required Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant transportation experience.
  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration or similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in ERP systems.
  • Experience with a TMS (Transport Management System) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be a team player
  • Knowledge of MS Office software, esp. Excel, Word, Power Point
