Become a key part of the City of Regina as a Transit Utility person II. You will oversee vehicle servicing, inspections, and contribute to the overall safety of our transit operations.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance and Equipment, you'll engage in critical tasks including testing auxiliary equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and conducting thorough inspections of vehicles. Effective recordkeeping and managing fareboxes are also part of your responsibilities, ensuring smooth transit operations through diligent service.
Key Responsibilities Perform fueling and fluid level checks regularly
Conduct inspections of lights and body condition
Ensure secure handling of cash forms and fareboxes
Assign coaches for upcoming route schedules
Carry out general caretaking in department buildings
Requirements Completion of Grade 10; mechanical knowledge preferred
Possession of a valid Class 5A Driver’s License
Understanding of health and safety workplace practices
Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
Capability to follow both oral and written directives
Ensure operational excellence in transit services as the Utility person II with the City of Regina.
