Overview
Drive long haul freight as part of a two‑person team or convoy. Load and unload goods, perform vehicle inspections, handle dangerous goods, and ensure cargo safety and security. Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintain records of hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Responsibilities

Address customers' complaints or concerns

Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy

Load and unload goods

Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Pay and receive payments for goods

Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs

Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of cargo

Transport and handle dangerous goods

Requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Driver's Licence (Class 1 or

A)

Experience is an asset

Salary: $33.60 per hour

Hours:

40 to 50 per week
