Become a vital part of Regina’s transit team as a Transit Utility person II. Your expertise in vehicle servicing and inspections ensures operational safety and efficiency.
As a Transit Utility person II at the City of Regina, you will be under the supervision of the Supervisor of Maintenance and Equipment. Your primary duties involve testing auxiliary equipment, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, and conducting vehicle inspections. You will also manage fareboxes and keep accurate records to support seamless transit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform fueling and fluid checks regularly on vehicles
• Conduct inspections of vehicle lights and overall condition
• Handle cash forms securely and manage fareboxes
• Assign coaches for upcoming routes and schedules
• Carry out general caretaking duties in department buildings
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 10 with preferred mechanical knowledge
• Valid Class 5A Driver’s License required
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Strong ability to collaborate with coworkers
• Capable of following both oral and written directives
