Safely transport students as a School Bus Driver with Prairie Valley School Division across Saskatchewan routes and school activities. Apply transportation knowledge and positive behaviour strategies daily.
This Bus Driver provides safe, efficient transportation to and from school and school-related activities. The work supports children and youth while contributing as part of a team. Candidates need confident school bus operation, patience, maturity, and experience working with children. Knowledge of Saskatchewan driving legislation and handbooks is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate school buses safely and confidently
- Transport students to school and related activities
- Apply positive reinforcement behaviour strategies
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Load and unload students in wheelchairs when required
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 1-5 Driver's License
- Valid School Bus Endorsement, or willingness to complete training
- Clear five-year driver's abstract without major infractions
- Satisfactory medical examinations under The Highway Traffic Act
- First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one
