Beebe Healthcare is growing, and our Specialty Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to support high-quality surgical and orthopedic care across both our Rehoboth Surgical Unit and the Lewes Orthopedic Unit. If you’re a nurse who brings compassion, teamwork, and strong clinical judgment to every shift, you’ll thrive here.
In this flexible, hands‑on position, you’ll care for post‑surgical and orthopedic patients, complete thorough assessments, implement timely interventions, and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in supporting safe recovery, patient education, and exceptional outcomes. You will be trained and competent to rotate between both units, ensuring seamless patient care systemwide.
Responsibilities· Deliver patient‑centered post‑surgical and orthopedic nursing care
· Perform comprehensive assessments and communicate changes quickly
· Prioritize responsibilities with strong critical thinking and time management
· Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety protocols
· Educate patients and families to support confident recovery and discharge
· Delegate and supervise support staff appropriately
· Participate in unit councils, quality initiatives, and ongoing professional growth
Qualifications- Acute care/hospital experience
- Strong communication, teamwork, and EMR skills
- Orthopedic Nurse Certification (ONC) preferred
- DE or Compact RN license
- BLS and NIH Stroke Certification
- ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
- RN, Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
USD $36.20/Hr.
MaxUSD $59.73/Hr.
