We are currently hiring a full‑time Lead Mixologist at Chesapeake & Maine in Rehoboth Beach, DE
.
The Lead Mixologist is responsible for leading the cocktail program at Dogfish Head Chesapeake and Maine. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of craft and culinary cocktails and a desire to provide the highest quality product with unwavering customer service.
What You’ll Brew:- Create a dynamic drink list including ingredient sourcing, purveyors and seasonal ability
- Interpret current trends, position competitively, and execute at all volumes
- Conduct cost and financial forecasts associated with the drinking programs
- Select, order and maintain cocktail‑related inventory (mixers, garnishes, etc.)
- Train bar staff on proper and consistent cocktail creation
- Work with brewers and kitchen to use sustainable resources to create cocktails
- Serve as the “face” of Chesapeake and Maine’s beverage program, including occasional interviews, conducting training for Sales groups and participating in ongoing programming/festivals when appropriate
- Conduct cash handling and sales through POS inventory system
- Maintain a clean, safe, focused, and productive environment
- Provide excellent customer service with a customer‑first attitude
- Fill the needs of the service staff
- Strong understanding of craft and culinary cocktails; minimum 3 years experience in bartending, mixology, or related environment.
- Passion for mixology and craft beer
- Experience writing drink menus
- Ability to think on one’s feet in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organized and detail‑oriented
- Outgoing and personable
- Ability to interact well with others and conduct a fun, interactive, educational, and successful promotion involving alcohol

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $20.00–$22.00 per hour. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
