Surgical Technologist II
The Surgical Technologist II assists a team of medical professionals in providing surgical care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include verifying health data, observing patients, performing first and second scrub duties, and setting up tables for advanced procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program through ARC/STSA or equivalent military training with surgical tech experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year of surgical tech experience.
- Licensure/Certification: BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider;
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Note:
Technologists hired before 12/31/2017 are exempt from the certification requirement, but the CST credential must be maintained without lapse if held on that date.
