Job Overview
The Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This role has a weekend option, in which the staff member is required to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.
Responsibilities- Operates head or body x-ray scanners to create cross-sectional images.
- Performs routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within benchmarks.
- Completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS, accurately identifying charges and addressing errors.
- Educates and prepares patients to enhance understanding and cooperation, promoting a positive experience.
- Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and ALARA principles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
Will accept any of the following licenses:
- ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)
- NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)
- Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)
- Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
