Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Plant Manager with a strong manufacturing industry background for a new opportunity with our client here in the Piedmont Triad area.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for organizing, directing, and improving all manufacturing activities within the facility, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
This role sets operational goals, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and drives initiatives that enhance throughput, reduce waste, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Leaddailyplantoperations,includingproductionscheduling,staffing,material flow,andequipmentutilizationtoachieveoutputandon‑timedeliverytargets.
- Ensureasafeworkenvironmentbyenforcingsafetypolicies,conducting audits,andmaintainingcompliancewith
OSHA,environmental,andotherregulatoryrequirements. - Ownproductqualityperformancebypartneringwithqualityteamstomaintainstandards,reducedefectsandscrap,andaddresscustomercomplaintsornonconformances.
- Manageplantbudgetsandcoststructures,controlling labor,materials,andoverheadwhileidentifyingandimplementingcost‑reduction opportunities.
- Developandexecuteproductionplansthatalignwithcustomerdemand,capacity,andinventorytargets,using
KPIssuchas
OEE,yield,andscheduleattainment. - Championcontinuousimprovementusing Lean,Six Sigma,andothermethodologiestostreamlineprocesses,eliminate waste,andincreaseefficiency.
- Hire,develop,coach,andevaluatesupervisorsandfrontlinestaff,fosteringacultureofaccountability,teamwork,andhighperformance.
- Collaboratewithmaintenance,supply chain,engineering,andqualitytocoordinatedowntime,newproductintroductions,andequipmentorprocesschanges.
- Maintainaccurateoperationaldocumentationandreports,including production,downtime,safety incidents,andperformancemetricsforleadershipreview.
- Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering,manufacturing,operations management,business,orarelatedfield(orequivalentexperienceinplantoperationsorengineering).
- 10+yearsofprogressiveexperienceinmanufacturingorplantoperations,includingseveralyearsinasupervisoryormanagementrole.
- Demonstratedexperienceleadingaproductionfacilityormajorproductionareawithresponsibilityforsafety,quality,delivery,andcostperformance.
- Proventrackrecordimplementing Lean,Six Sigma,orothercontinuousimprovementinitiativesinamanufacturingenvironment.
- Strong
leadership
andpeople‑management skills,withtheabilitytoengageteams,manage conflict,anddrivechangeacrossshiftsanddepartments. - Deepunderstandingofmanufacturingprocesses,production planning,andcapacitymanagement,includinguseof
KPIsanddataanalysistools. - Solidknowledgeofqualitysystemsandstandards,suchas
ISO frameworks,andtheabilitytomaintainandimprovequalityperformance. - Excellent problem‑solving,decision‑making,andorganizationalskills,withtheabilitytoprioritizeandexecuteinafast‑paced environment.
- Strongfinancialandbusinessacumen,including budgeting,cost control,andbasic
P&Lunderstanding. - Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with frontline staff, peers, and senior leadership.
