Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Night Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Night Shift) in Reidsville, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-hour shifts, Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend. Holidays as needed. Floating may be required when department volume is down.

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a long-term care unit focusing exclusively on geriatric patients. The unit has a daily census of 80, and the nurse will experience a patient ratio of 1:27. Responsibilities include admitting patients, administering care treatments, and managing ongoing patient needs such as trach, wound vacs, TPN, central lines, IVs, and G-tubes. The nurse will also document in EPIC and should have experience with various procedures and equipment specific to geriatric care.

• Admit and discharge patients, while effectively communicating status changes to RN/MD.
• Manage and monitor patient care tasks, including Foley catheter insertion, blood glucose testing, and wound care.
• Assist with patient ambulation, bathing, and feeding tube management.
• Maintain accurate patient records through EPIC and ensure adherence to isolation precautions as needed.
• Administer medication and perform assessments, including vital sign monitoring.

• Minimum of 2 years LPN experience required.
• Experience in nursing home or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.

• Current BLS certification required.
• Active LPN license must be in hand at submission.
• EPIC experience is required.
