TPF Recruitment is partnering with an independent firm of chartered accountants located near Reigate, who are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. With a minimum of 2 years of accountancy practice experience, ideally holding an AAT Level 3 qualification as a minimum, this role offers a salary ranging from £27,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties for clients, including processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to resolve queries and provide support as needed.
  • Use accounting software effectively to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
Requirements

What We Require:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • Ideally, AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, or Sage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and professional development.

Competitive salary ranging from £27,000 to £32,000, dependent on experience.
