The Role

Are you an empathetic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 support role? We are seeking a full-time, temporary Teaching Assistant to provide focused, individual support to a specific child within our welcoming primary school environment. The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly patient, resilient, and proactive individual who:

  • Has previous experience working with primary-aged children with special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties, or specific learning needs).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both with the pupil and with school staff/parents.
  • Is able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Is committed to promoting the highest levels of inclusion and independence for the pupil.
  • Holds relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning or special educational needs (desirable).
Key Responsibilities

You will provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day, deliver targeted intervention sessions, assist the pupil in navigating social and emotional situations, help monitor and record the pupil's progress and behaviour, and prepare resources specific to the pupil's learning needs.
