Your Role as a Year 4 Specialist

As a Year 4 Supply Teacher, you are the catalyst for classroom engagement, helping pupils bridge the gap toward Upper Key Stage 2.

  • Dynamic Lesson Delivery: Facilitate lessons that encourage critical thinking, collaborative problem solving, and a "growth mindset" in every subject.
  • Core Subject Progression: Support pupils as they move toward more sophisticated reading comprehension and formal written methods in mathematics.
  • Classroom Leadership: Maintain a focused, respectful, and high-energy learning environment using established positive behavior strategies.
  • Seamless Continuity: Step into diverse school settings and quickly implement the school's routine, ensuring the curriculum remains on track and pupils feel empowered.

We are looking for qualified professionals who are passionate about the Year 4 journey. You are an ideal fit if you:

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Are a KS2 Specialist: You have a solid grasp of the Year 4 National Curriculum and the social-emotional needs of 8 and 9-year-olds.
  • Are Proactive & Versatile: You can adapt your teaching style to suit a wide range of abilities, ensuring high-attainers are stretched and SEND pupils are supported.
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
