The Junior Leap:
Impact Without the Paperwork

We are seeking adaptable Lower KS2 Teachers to lead Year 3 classes across a variety of vibrant local schools. This role is perfect for those who love the "middle ground" of primary education-where children are becoming independent learners but still retain their curiosity and enthusiasm.

  • Lower KS2 Focus: Guide pupils through the jump from KS1 to KS2, helping them build the stamina and study skills needed for the Junior years.
  • Curriculum Variety: Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, from Stone Age history to expanded multiplication and division.
  • Work-Life Balance: Focus on what you do best-teaching. As a supply teacher, you leave the planning meetings and data entry behind while still making a daily impact.
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £130 - £160
, paid every Friday via Randstad.
Your Role as a Year 3 Specialist

As a Year 3 Supply Teacher, you are the bridge to Key Stage 2, fostering a classroom culture of independence and resilience.

  • Engaging Lesson Delivery: Facilitate lessons that move beyond the basics, encouraging critical thinking and collaborative group work.
  • Literacy & Numeracy Progression: Support pupils as they transition to joined-up handwriting, more complex reading comprehension, and formal written methods in maths.
  • Classroom Leadership: Set high expectations for behavior and work ethic, ensuring the "Junior" standards are met from day one.
  • Seamless Continuity: Step into diverse classroom settings and quickly implement the school's routine, ensuring the day is productive and the pupils feel supported.
Essential Requirements

We are looking for qualified professionals who are passionate about the Lower KS2 journey. You are an ideal fit if you:

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Are a KS2 Specialist: You have a solid grasp of the Year 3 National Curriculum and the social-emotional needs of 7 and 8-year-olds.
  • Are Proactive & Versatile: You can adapt your teaching style to suit different ability levels, including supporting those with SEND or challenging higher-attainers.
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
