* * An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and engaging MFL Specialist Support Teacher to join our team at Sandcross Primary School.

We are looking for someone with a passion for languages who can inspire our pupils to develop confidence, enjoyment and curiosity in language learning. The successful candidate will provide specialist teaching across the school, principally in French, German and Spanish, using the school’s agreed schemes of work, curriculum plans and resources.

This is a support-staff specialist teaching role and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant language qualifications and/or substantial relevant experience who have the knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm to deliver engaging language lessons to primary-aged children.

The role is for 17.5 hours per week during term time, with the working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will:

*** Have strong spoken and written competence in at least two of French, German and Spanish, with sufficient knowledge and confidence to deliver our planned curriculum across all three languages
* Have a relevant language qualification and/or substantial relevant experience
* Have experience of teaching, tutoring, coaching or otherwise supporting children with their learning
* Be able to deliver engaging, inclusive and well-structured language lessons
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
* Be able to adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities, including pupils with SEND and EAL
* Have strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently within agreed curriculum plans
* Have a positive, flexible and professional approach
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to our school values of Kindness, Respect, Resilience and Responsibility
* Experience of teaching languages within a primary school, knowledge of the Key Stage 2 Languages National Curriculum and experience of teaching French, German and Spanish would be advantageous.
