We are recruiting for a Principal Pricing Analyst on behalf of one of the UK's most recognised and celebrated personal lines insurers.

The successful candidate will influence motorand home pricing across all brands and channels; this role offers a breadth ofexposure that is rare at this level in the personal lines market. Our clientscontinued investment in pricing capability and data science means there is realspace to grow, lead, and help shape the direction of a team that is genuinelyambitious about what pricing can achieve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommending,delivering and overseeing changes to prices and underwriting criteria, aswell as feeding in new ideas and bringing relevantmarket insight to the attention of the pricing team.
  • Understanding the main aspects of pricing, including risk pricing, retail pricing and expenses, and how these are modelled and derived.
  • Leading the building of significant risk and retail models using Radar, Emblem andalternative modelling and data science techniques, implementing changesthrough the pricing algorithm as required to ensure all rate changes aremade promptly.
  • Usinginsights gained from internal and external sources to deliver a stepchange improvement in pricing and rating capabilities.
  • Deputising for the Motor or Home Pricing Manager when required.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in analysis and knowledge of the UK Motor and Home Insurance markets.
  • Degree level education or equivalent, with proven numeracy skills and experience of applying multivariate statistical and data science techniques.
  • Asolid knowledge of pricing and modelling techniques, including statistical software such as Databricks or Python, and insurance pricing software suchas Radar and Emblem.
  • Well-organised and logical, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in concisewritten reports.
