Store Managers‑in‑Training (SMiT)

SMiT roles are designed for aspiring leaders who will develop the skills required to guide team members and ensure the store’s operational success. Working closely with the Store Manager, they will oversee daily operations, cultivate high‑performance culture, and deliver outstanding customer experience.

Base Pay Range

$66,000.00/yr – $66,000.00/yr

What You Will Do
  • People Leadership: Partner with the Store Manager in the full cycle of talent fundamentals—hiring, onboarding, coaching, training, development, performance management, termination, culture, and engagement.
  • Operational Management: Support the execution of annual plans; quantify business outcomes such as revenue, NPS, job completion rate, time to serve, wiper sales, quality, profitability, COE, and associate retention.
  • Store Operations: Lead all aspects of store operations—safety, facility management, inventory, time‑card records, and policy compliance; build a culture focused on memorable customer experience and monitor metrics like NPS.

    Collaboration:

    Work across organizational boundaries with colleagues such as warehouse managers, dispatchers, and field service representatives.
  • Operational Best Practices: Implement and enforce playbook best practices; remove obstacles and perform repairs or recalibrations when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience (Preferred).
Experience Qualifications
  • 4–6 years leadership and supervision experience (Preferred).
Skills and Abilities
  • Willingness to work across multiple locations within a district.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web applications, and general office equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Work primarily at the store location.
  • Operate a company vehicle safely, maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Satisfy all PPE requirements (e.g., nitrile gloves).
  • Occasionally lift windshields up to 35 pounds.
