This position is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a new class of telecommunication satellites.
We are seeking a dynamic and senior Deputy Program Manager to support the successful delivery of the Humming Sat program to a major GEO telecommunications operator. This role is pivotal in ensuring program excellence, customer satisfaction, and seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
Job requirements- 3+ years of experience on GEO spacecraft programs or equivalent complex space programs, preferably in systems engineering, integration, or operations support.
- Solid understanding of spacecraft design, manufacture, assembly, integration, test, and operation principles, with hands-on experience in at least one domain.
- Demonstrates sound technical expertise and application of engineering principles, with growing exposure to project coordination and team collaboration.
- Experience supporting customer/operator and supplier interactions under guidance from senior leadership.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to project goals.
- Structured and reliable working style, with a focus on task execution, documentation, and follow-through.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, able to adapt communication style across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Shows initiative and curiosity, with a willingness to learn and contribute creatively to problem-solving within defined parameters.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools and project tracking systems, experience using them in a support capacity.
- Language:
Fluent English required, French language skills are a plus. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
- Awareness of ISO 9001 and EN/AS 9100 norms; experience applying quality tools (8D, Ishikawa, FMEA, risk analysis) under supervision is a plus.
1) Risk management responsibility at the entire program level.
2) Schedule management and recovery responsibility on specific subsystems or special topics.
3) Responsible for the program office of the AIT phase of a program (working with dedicated spacecraft level AIT managers). This is specifically relevant as on Programs where Program Managers are located in SWISSto
12’s US office, while the AIT occurs in Europe and needs local presence of the Program Management Office.
