We are currently looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in our brand-new offices in Renens – Lausanne Area.

In this role, you’ll own key accounting, reporting, and audit processes to ensure financial accuracy and operational excellence. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and the different internal departments to deliver results that align with our innovation-driven and sustainable approach. You will also collaborate with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, banks, and service providers to ensure compliance and smooth execution of financial processes.

This position is 100% on site.

YOUR MISSIONAudit Coordination & Financial Closings
  • Prepare audit documentation and serve as the main liaison with external auditors.
  • Execute and support quarterly and annual financial closings in coordination with Head of Finance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit schedules and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Lead and supervise the end-to-end purchase order and invoice workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement and accounting policies.
  • Supervise the Administrative Assistant handling operational execution and data entry; resolve any escalated discrepancies.
Cash & Liquidity Management
  • Monitor daily cash positions and prepare short-term liquidity forecasts.
  • Manage payment prioritization to ensure optimal fund usage and availability.
  • Support treasury processes relating to banking platforms and payment approvals.
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations, supplier and customer reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain reconciliation reporting for internal control and audit purposes.
General Ledger Ownership
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of entries in the general ledger.
  • Prepare and post accruals, and recurring journal entries.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and reconciliation of foreign currency purchases.
  • Optimize FX utilization and support risk-management strategies.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance Support
  • Prepare VAT returns and support corporate tax filings in coordination with tax advisors.
  • Monitor changes in relevant regulatory frameworks and ensure timely implementation.
Internal Controls & Process Improvements
  • Maintain strong internal control practices across accounting and finance activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation (SOPs) for accounting and treasury activities.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial processes.
New Legal entities Accounting Structure Setup
  • Support Head of Finance in implementing the chart of accounts for any new legal entity in alignment with group accounting policies.
  • Assist in establishing cost centers, reporting segments, and intercompany flows.
  • Support preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and prepare elimination entries.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A professional certification (e.g., Swiss CPA, ACCA, Expert-Comptable) is a strong asset.
  • 7–10 years of experience in accounting, ideally within an international environment or a fast-growing company.
  • Proven experience in financial closings, audits, and statutory compliance.
  • Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards
    ; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger management, reconciliations, VAT, and treasury processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills
    ; ability to work with data exports, reconciliations, and reporting templates.
