Housekeeper – Renfrewshire Council

You will provide a consistent high-quality service in all areas allocated to you within the care home environment to ensure that the environment meets the requirements of the service specification and expectations of clients and staff alike.

• Carry out tasks relating to catering, cleaning and laundry services.
• Ensure that the clients' dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Work within all areas of the care home environment of Facilities Management Soft Services as instructed by the Assistant Facilities Housekeeper or other appropriate manager.
• Maintain areas used by the clients and care staff to the required standard on a consistent and timely basis.

• Experience of working within the catering, cleaning and laundry service with high awareness of current hygiene practices.
• Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Desirable qualifications: SVQ (or equivalent) in Catering, SVQ (or equivalent) in Cleaning or elementary food hygiene certificate.

The post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 06 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is earlier.

Expected hours: 25 hours per week, 5 days over 7, 0800 – 1330, alternate weekends (up to 52 weeks).
