Allstaff HR Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of HR Advisor for our client based in Renfrew who is seeking a confident and proactive HR Advisor to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Offering a salary of £35,000, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HR team where you’ll provide expert advice on employee relations, support recruitment activities and help managers deliver best practice across the employee lifecycle.
This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, and is predominantly site based. The position also includes occasional fully expensed travel (approximately 1-2 trips per month, typically lasting 2-3 days).
- Provide practical HR advice and guidance across a range of employee relations matters.
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct and absence.
- Support investigations and formal meetings, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
- Prepare HR documentation, correspondence and case records.
- Coordinate recruitment activities from advertising through to onboarding.
- Support hiring managers with recruitment, interviews and candidate communication.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a professional HR service.
- A minimum of 24 months’ experience in an HR Advisor position.
- Previous experience managing employee relations cases.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting recruitment and selection processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Good IT skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Preferably relevant HR Degree
- Professional, approachable and trustworthy.
- Calm and confident when handling sensitive matters.
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
- Able to work independently whilst contributing positively to the wider team.
