Role OverviewThe TUP Deputy Supervisor ensures the rescue readiness of the TUP, including chamber systems and auxiliary equipment, as part of the NSRS Rescue System. Supporting the TUP Supervisor, the Deputy Supervisor manages the material state of the TUP, maintenance, mobilisation, training and operational support at sea and at base.
Responsibilities- Ensure continuous rescue readiness of the TUP as part of the NSRS Rescue System.
- Maintain operational preparedness of chamber systems and all auxiliary equipment.
- Support the TUP Supervisor in overseeing the overall material state of the TUP.
- Manage and monitor maintenance activities to ensure equipment serviceability.
- Assist with mobilisation activities, ensuring readiness for deployment.
- Support and contribute to training activities for TUP operations.
- Provide operational support to the TUP system during activities at sea and at base.
- Qualified in diving, ROV, or manned submersible operations with relevant certification.
- Current, competent and experienced in underwater operations and associated training.
- Proven experience in the maintenance of diving, ROV, or submersible systems.
- Familiar with working to marine, defence and facilities standards (e.g. DEFSTAN).
- Knowledge of international quality and safety standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 45001) and Lloyd’s Rules for Classified Systems.
- Experience working on commercially sensitive projects.
- Background in public service, defence, offshore or regulated operational environments.
- Experience in safety management, instructional techniques and operations involving high‑pressure systems.
- Early finish on Fridays.
